The Vice President, Commercial Finance and Pricing provides strategic direction in delivering profitable growth through effective pricing and promotions that achieve internal financial goals, supplier objectives, and follow required state and federal regulations.
The role will contribute thought leadership in revenue management, drive pricing and trade spend efficiency and effectiveness and oversee the development of standardized tools and processes.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrive strategy and process behind the analysis of market and supplier performance to identify and provide strategic direction around opportunities for improved P&L delivery (Rev/GP/GM%), mix (brand/size/discount), effective pricing and promotional activities, and inventory managementProvide decision support and strategic direction around the development of local pricing strategy and calendars that ensures regulatory compliance, delivery of supplier brand strategy/suggested retail price, and adherence to company pricing policiesOversee the negotiation, implementation and maintenance of all price changes and accurate price supports to deliver profit requirements and minimize supplier billback issuesProvide strategic direction around bank management and spends to ensure efficient and effective deployment of all budgetsOversee the development of annual supplier budget for internal AOP (Vol/Rev/GP) and supplier LMF planningProvide strategic direction around operationalizing budgets and partnering with commercial leadership groups to identify opportunities, mitigate risk and deliver on fiscal goals and objectivesProvide strategic oversight on the implementation and utilization of standardized financial reporting, budgeting and pricing tools and processes to ensure consistency and efficiencies in performance reporting and analyticsDrive the consistent implementation of company initiatives; define guidelines/roadmap to drive local understanding and execution against prioritiesRecruit, select, orient, and train employees; conduct terminations, as neededCoach and counsel employees; discipline individuals according to company policy; plan and monitor employee goals; and appraise performancePerform other job-related duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business or quantitative field of study; Master's degree preferred10
years of increasing responsibility with emphasis on commercial finance to include P&L management, financial analysis, forecasting, and pricing management/strategyCPG experience preferably in the adult beverage industryKnowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamicsAdvanced analytical skills with demonstrated ability to aggregate, model, assess, and provide insights from multiple commercial and financial data sets, e.

syndicated data (Nielsen / IRI), sales history, and financial data; ability to apply knowledge to appropriately diverse situationsDemonstrated advanced knowledge of the capabilities of transaction and reporting systems including, but not limited to SAP, Business Objects, TM1, or other local systems.
Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills on Excel.
Demonstrated advanced understanding of the financial impact of various strategies/tactics with an ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with pragmatic, commercially driven implementationDemonstrated ability to perform and interpret pricing analytics including elasticity, competitive set analysis and ROI.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
